About EXTREME Boat Detailing
EXTREME Boat Detailing is a mobile boat detailing service working on Lake Travis, Lake Austin and across the greater Austin, Texas boating community. We clean, correct and protect boat surfaces at the place the boat already lives.
A mobile-only model
Every job happens on site. That means your private dock, your marina slip or your dry storage space. There is no shop to drive to and nothing to trailer, which removes the part of detailing that usually costs owners a full day.
Working on site also shapes how we plan. A boat in a slip is approached differently from one on a lift or under cover, and the amount of surface we can reach changes what is realistic in a single visit. We would rather know those details in advance than discover them on arrival.
Where we work
Lake Travis, Lake Austin and the greater Austin, Texas area. Conditions here are specific: mineral-heavy water that leaves hard spotting, long stretches of intense sun that flatten gelcoat and dry out vinyl, and waterline buildup on boats that stay in the water. Most of what we do is a response to one of those three.
What we do
Seven services, and only these seven:
- Hull Cleaning — Removes the waterline scum, hard water spotting and grime that builds up on a hull sitting in Central Texas lake water.
- Gelcoat Restoration — Brings chalky, faded gelcoat back toward a deep, reflective finish through staged compounding and polishing.
- Oxidation Removal — Cuts back the dull, powdery layer that forms when UV breaks down the surface of gelcoat.
- Boat Interior Detailing — A full cleanup of the cockpit, helm, storage and non-skid surfaces so the boat is ready to use.
- Upholstery Cleaning — Deep cleaning and conditioning for marine vinyl seating, bolsters and sun pads.
- Metal Polishing — Polishing stainless and aluminum hardware, rails, cleats and towers back to a clean shine.
- Boat Ceramic Coating — A durable coating applied over corrected gelcoat so the finish is easier to wash and better shielded from UV.
We do not offer fiberglass or gelcoat repair, mold remediation, vinyl repair, shrink wrap, bottom paint, canvas work, engine or mechanical service, boat storage or towing. If a boat needs that kind of work, we will say so instead of taking on something outside what we do.
Boat types we work on
- Pontoon boats — Wide, flat surfaces, aluminum tubes and fence panels, plus a large amount of vinyl seating exposed to full sun.
- Wakeboard and wake boats — Heavy vinyl and tower hardware, constant water contact at the swim platform, and dark gelcoat colors that show oxidation early.
- Center console boats — Open layouts with plenty of stainless hardware, non-skid decking and helm surfaces that take direct sun all day.
- Yachts — Larger hull surfaces, more freeboard to reach and detail, and finishes where staged correction matters.
How the quote process works
- Send your boat details. Tell us the boat type, approximate length, current condition, where it is kept and which services you are considering. Photos are welcome.
- Get a quote for your boat. We review what you send, ask anything we still need, and quote the work for that specific boat. Pricing is per boat, not per package.
- We come to the boat. We schedule a time and perform the work at your dock, slip or storage location. No trailering required.
Pricing is quoted per boat. Two boats of the same length can need very different amounts of work depending on how long the finish has been neglected, which is why we ask about condition before quoting.
What to have ready
- Access to the boat and to the slip or dock, including any gate, key or marina check-in requirement.
- Whether water is available at the location, and whether power is available. If either is missing, tell us in the quote request so we plan for it.
- Personal items cleared from seating and storage areas where you want interior work done.
- The boat type, approximate length and any known problem areas.
Ready to start? Request a quote and include as much detail about the boat as you can.
